Loving my new MacBook Pro, but it will take awhile to know it as well as the one I wore out about a week ago.  This new one sure looks a lot nicer  -- even has letters on all the keys!  I wore them off on my previous computer. We'll become great friends as time goes on, I'm sure.

Winter has returned to Willow -- with 10+ inches of new snow at our home in the last 24 hours.  The groundskeeper and John Deere put in a good day of work today, and the woods are so beautiful once again.  "Don't walk under a tree" cautioned a knitting friend who was here today for Wednesday knitting.

Will probably reside in Eagle River, Alaska

Has moved to the East Coast -- Virginia, I think.

May still be available at NonEssentials in Palmer

Yesterday was a delivery day for taking new pieces to some of the shops that carry WillowAK pottery.  These are great shops to visit, whether you're looking for pottery or the many other beautiful items they carry:

Town Square Art Gallery in Wasilla

NonEssentials in Palmer

The Tangled Skein in Eagle River
on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/thetangledskein

WillowAK pottery is also available at Sourdough Mercantile at the Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, All I Saw Cookware in Wasilla, and Willow Creek Studio in Willow. These shops will be getting new pieces this Spring.  Time for the potter to gear up for another year and possibly another Open Studio event.

Enjoyed a nice Iditarod Restart weekend with our son and one grandson.  You could not have asked for a more beautiful winter day! The dogs, mushers, and sleds are encountering very difficult conditions on the trail north, however, causing twelve of the original 69 teams to have scratched or been withdrawn so far.

Tomorrow is Willow Library Board meeting for me in the morning, and then it's time to return to the studio for another round of creating "pieces with personality."  I feel fortunate that the shops are so encouraging when I bring in new work to them.  As time goes on, I'm getting a better sense of who wants what.  Pastels or darker colors?  A grouping for display, or singles to spread about?  Focus on fun or function?  Simple in design or lots going on?  A touch of Alaskana -- or no such thing, thank you?

Have received a number of requests for a variety of pieces; hopefully I can create the work to fulfill those requests. Folks have been patient with the potter, who tends to spend a lot of time on each step of the process. Will be marching along in the studio enjoying March sunshine this month.

Spring Break for the kids next week!  Looking forward to seeing some of ours.  :-)
