Yes, it's time to show you some of the beautiful art you'll see at WillowAK Pottery on Nov. 22.  No, not the pottery, but fiber and wood pieces created by three of the guest artists  Melinda Dale, across the lake from us, will have beautiful quilted wall hangings and a collection of wood pieces created by her husband, Bill.  Melinda is both a designer of quilts,  with her patterns sold in quilt shops around the state, and a fabulous, creative quilter. What a treat it is to join her for an afternoon in her sunny quilting room, where magic happens!

While Melinda's sewing machine is whirring, her husband, Bill, is often busy in his wood shop creating beautiful cutting boards and rolling pins, which will also be available.

Bill's Cutting Boards -- Beautiful as serving trays, too!

That's the first peek, but I'll give you a teaser of what's coming next:  Joan Edwards, another gifted fiber artist, will have a variety of beautifully quilted projects in the studio on Nov. 22 -- totes, purses, baby quilts, table runners, etc.   Watch for the next blog posting to see Joan's works of art!

A kiln load of porcelain pieces is ready to fire...just giving it a chance to dry out a bit overnight before turning on the heat.  Mugs, large serving bowls, platters, yarn bowls, French butter dishes, fish and moose ornaments, spoon rests, clay rattles, etc.

If there's a pottery form you hope to find here on Nov. 22, please let me know; I expect to have time to make a bit more this week, and that will be it until after Thanksgiving.  It will take awhile to glaze, fire again, and clean up the studio for the Willow Studio Art Tour!  Hope you're planning to come by.

Check back soon for images of Joan's awesome quilted pieces!
