Good News ... A Great Day To Be In Willow!

The driveway is free of snow,  the IRS form is mailed (thank you, Keith), the clogs are all felted, and the kiln unloaded.  Posting images of the new work is my way of giving you an idea of what is ready to leave home. I've tried to be responsive to requests as I make forms and embellish them. This kiln had lots of mugs and yarn bowls, with a handful of other pieces to keep things fun and interesting.

Before saying any more, let me add that the Spring Willow Art Studio Tour date has been selected:

Saturday, May 28. . .  A great day to be in Willow!

The Studio Tour, including a dahlia sale, and the 5K run are all taking place on May 28.  The latter two events are fundraisers for the Willow Library.  There is something for EVERYONE in the family on May 28, in Willow!  Drive out if you live elsewhere, get out if you're already living here, and enjoy several events!  Yes, it is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

Now, on to the kiln. Here's a sampling of what was unloaded today:

Trees, ravens, fish and dots on mugs

Fish and moose on mugs

Many different fish images...for many different tastes

Some like them black, some like them blue, some like them black and blue

Some like them realistic; some like them whimsical

Select your size, form, design, glaze, and handle

Foxy and fishy -- both new designs

Every kiln needs bowls; this one had a small covered jar as well

Ladle, anyone?  A bowl for your fish chowder?

Knit or crochet? Do you have your yarn bowl yet?

More mugs -- with leaves, fish, moose, and more leaves

French butter crocks, and we're back to round,  Don and Vicki

A platter of fish for fish -- and for anything else you'd serve on a platter

A platter with notes and song birds singing of Spring!

Jewelry pendant? Key chain? Use it in something you create!
No, not all yarn bowls are born blue
Drop a note if there's something about which you'd like more information, and do mark your calendar for fun in Willow on May 28!  More details about the day will be shared in coming weeks.

Thanks for reading the blog!  I'm still having fun and appreciate your interest.
