Take a Look! We are READY!!

Took some quick photos around the studio this afternoon and decided to post some to give you an even better idea of what you can expect to find here on Saturday.  Yes, the Willow Studio Art Tour is THIS coming Saturday, Dec. 3, and  includes three studio stops. If you're new to the tour, start at Willow Creek Studio at mile 69.5 for details -- otherwise start at any of the three participating studios.  In the last several posts to this blog, I've shown pieces awaiting you at WillowAK Pottery on Shirley Lake; here's a peek at a little more of what you'll see:
Bill's beautiful cutting boards.

In a variety of beautiful woods. and with fine craftsmanship, is a collection of cutting boards.  Yes, that is the hammock and snow covered lake out the window. Willow is a winter wonderland all of a sudden!

Along with the cutting boards, Bill has introduced a family of Willow birch snowmen to the tour, and they'll be a nice addition to the homes of those who appreciate their whimsical character.  Special that they are made of local birch!

They are interspersed with Melinda's charming wall hangings,  pillows, and mug rugs, also showcasing local treasures such as moose,  flowers, wolves, sea life, and a red vintage truck carrying a freshly cut Christmas tree.  Charming.

Joan's been busy sewing and quilting beautiful items; Carol's been creating with porcelain, as usual, and has spent a good deal of time knitting oversized wool clogs and felting them. A size chart will be available, but your best bet is to try them on to see if they are what you need to be cozy and comfy throughout the year.

Creative, cute and conveying lots of local characters.

Colorful wall hangings, table runners, and other quilted items.
Festive knit bottle wraps.
A variety of stocking stuffers, of course.
Joan's treasures of bags, baskets, totes, purses and more!
Donated silent auction items for the Willow Library. Thanks for bidding!
Carol's been knitting and felting clogs...adult and baby sized.
Mugs and bowls -- from very small to very large!
A revolving rack of beautiful bags by Joan.

Shelves of pottery pieces will greet you in the entry.
Can't show it all, but we hope to make it worth your time and effort to come by for holiday shopping, socializing, and cheer.  If you are looking for something particular and not finding it, do let us know. Maybe we have an idea where you would find it -- or can make it for another time.  There's a beautiful winter ahead in Willow, and that means the artistic spirits have time to create.  It's what we do!

Hope to see many of you Saturday -- on the Willow Holiday Studio Art Tour.  Bonnie and the Thompsons have lots of fine work in their studios as well. We suggest you also stop by the Methodist Church Bazaar where a lunch of homemade soups and breads is being served, and lots of goodies, including homemade cookies, are available for sale.  Our Annual Willow Holiday Dinner is at 6:00 that evening,  so it is a busy and fun day in Willow!
