Hello Again!
You've seen the beautiful bags, totes, purses, table runners, place
mats, quilts, shawls, coiled fabric bowls, and more that Joan has
created for the Studio Art Tour in recent years; she continues to offer similar
beauties, and has now added woven gifts to her repertoire. The woven
pieces shown below were done on the loom that has lived in her loft for a
number of years. The really BIG news is that her new loom recently
arrived. Made in Sweden, it will give her even more capability.
Matched with her incredible talent, we can expect to see even larger
pieces from Joan in the future.
First, meet Joan's new loom:
|
Wow! A weaver's dream I do believe! |
Next, here are some of the beautiful woven pieces she recently created on her "old" loom:
|
Handwoven table runners -- and one of many rope bowls |
|
Handwoven wool scarves -- beauties |
And Joan is adding some new sewn items to her offerings, including, but not limited to:
|
Microwave bowl cozies in an array of fabrics and sizes |
|
Fun and festive aprons ... Christmas-themed and otherwise |
|
|
There are usually some nice surprises from Joan, too!
Remember, Dec. 1 is also the UMC Bazaar and Soup/Bread Lunch, plus the Willow Holiday Dinner -- even more reasons for saying,
"It's a Great Day to be in Willow!"
Lots of people are working hard to make it all happen! Thank you!!
