It's kind of like rehoming a pet

We hear people speak of looking for a "forever home" for pets they can no longer keep for one reason or another. This week I delivered four boxes of pottery to Willow Creek Studio at milepost 69.5, hoping  their customers will fall in love with a piece of pottery that "speaks" to them.

If you're in Talkeetna, visit The Dancing Leaf to see some new pieces there that are also ready for a "forever home."  And, "forever" can mean a very long time since fired clay and quality craftsmanship can last thousands of years if treated well.  Dragon Fire Ceramics reports, "... the oldest piece of pottery ever discovered being more than 18,000 years old, according to radiocarbon dating." A $50 piece you enjoy viewing and using in your home for  50years, before gifting it to someone else, is a treasure.

Yes, WillowAK Pottery will be open again on Friday, June 30, during the Willow Farmers Market hours which are 2:00 to 7:00. If you're out and about, stop by the Market and also at WillowAK Pottery, 25879 W Southlake Dr. Maybe you'll see something you'd enjoy in your home.
