Time To Tell... Saturday of Memorial Weekend

The next Willow Studio Art Spring Fling Tour will be Saturday, May 27.  Yes, it's a tour of Willow studios and will be an opportunity to see new work, chat with your neighbors, meet some folks, and buy some unique, handmade art along the way.  At this point, mark your calendar and watch for future details, flyers, postings, and updates here and elsewhere.

All the photos should enlarge if you click on them.

I unloaded a very weird piece from the kiln yesterday.  It started out as a yarn bowl; during the firing, however, it reconfigured itself into something else, but I don't know what! So, what could it be used for now?
Oops....now how can it be used?

The rest of the yarn bowls behaved themselves, for the most part, and will soon be in area shops.

Stacked yarn bowls...but you get the idea that each is unique
If a yarn or gift shop near you wants to replenish their inventory of yarn bowls, please suggest they get in touch.  I'll hang on to some at the studio for the tour goers, and do have some "seconds" here at a reduced price.

A new batch of ornaments is ready: two sizes of moose, retrievers, loons, ravens, fox, and fish to join the trees, rabbits and bears created earlier. Don't think I've heard of Christmas in May, but the ornament selection is good now and I will personalize them if you'd like.
Large moose on the loose
Smaller moose
Black retrievers this time
Requested ravens
Friendly fox
Common loons

Mugs, yes.  Here are some of the smaller ones that I'm told are hard to find these days.

The larger ones are yet to be glazed for their final firing. Should have some of them ready within a couple of weeks

And,  noodle bowls.  Think these will work for you, Mary?
I'll hang on to them until you return home.  If they are not what you had in mind, there is more clay in the studio and I'll try again.  :-)
Noodle bowls...or use for whatever you'd like!
In addition to the pottery at WillowAK Pottery, there will be the usual beautiful quilted works of friends Melinda and Joan, as well as Bill's wonderful wood creations.  Photos will come later.  I will have some felted clogs again, similar to those below, as well as some other knit pieces.

100% Wool felted clogs in various styles. Hope to have a dozen pair.
Expect some surprises, too!

Thanks for staying tuned. Hope to see you May 27 for the Spring Fling in Willow Art Studios!
 P. S. Bring your friends, neighbors, visitors, family, and anyone you think appreciates pottery, fiber arts, wood, fused glass, jewelry, wood furniture, burl bowls, and LOTS more. We'd love to see you.
